November 2014 Ipsy Bag

November 2014 Ipsy Bag

Yay! Ipsy bag came in today.

The theme this month is "Girl Meets Glitter".

And the bag was designed by Forever21 Cosmetics

Here is everything right out of the bag, the way it came packaged.

First thing out of the bag.
Be a Bombshell Cosmetics Eye Base in Submissive.
This is full sized and retails for $14!
Its a neutral shade with a touch of shimmer.
Its pretty similar to my actual skin tone. I kept it on all day and it doesn't crease or smudge.
Love this!

Next were these products from Laura Mercier.
There are two products included because the fan powder brush was made especially for this invisible setting powder.

The Invisible Setting Powder is great for all skin types and looks great.
This is a sample size (0.03 oz) and a full sized product (0.4 oz) retails for $37.

The Mini Fan Powder brush is also a sample brush. It adds a delicate amount of product to your face, which is just the perfect amount. Full Size retails for $30.

This is J Cat Beauty- Wonder Lip Paint.  It is full sized and retails for $4.99

A little goes a LONG way. And you may need to use a lipstick brush to apply the product because it will stain your fingers and if you touch your face, the color may transfer. I definitely loved this color on me, though I am darker and a lot of the fairer skinned girls thought it was a little dark on them.

Elizabeth Mott- You're so FINE Liquid Eyeliner in Glitterati. Full Sized $17.99.
The amount of glitter is not overwhelming, its actually not very noticeable, just a slight sparkle which is perfect for me. The applicator makes for easy application.  It stayed on all day and didn't crack!
Loved this.

Marc Anthony True Professional Oil of Morocco Argan Oil Hairspray. Full Sized (9 oz) $8.29.
Don't have much to say about this, I don't use hairspray-so I just gave it away. Though I did spray it just to smell it and it smelled pretty good.

Hey moms, a little pick me up today!

Hey moms out there:
You are stong, don't let anyone tell you otherwise.

Maybe you're tired sometimes, or you can't always go out.
Perhaps you prefer staying in and snuggling with your cuddle bug.

Sometimes you can't go to resuraunts because you know it's a chore,
Or you can't afford what you want because you  give it up to give your child the best.

You may put yourself down, and be overtly critical.
It's only because you want to be absolutely perfect.

But hey, you will make mistakes,
And everything won't always be perfect.

Nothing's ever perfect,
So don't beat yourself up about it.

Your child(ren) love(s) you!
You're imperfect, and that's perfectly fine,
Because you do whatever it takes.

Don't put yourself down,
You're doing a fabulous job, don't let anyone tell you otherwise.

And when you see a mom having a hard time with her kids,
Trying her very best to make things work,
Remind her:
"You're a mom, you're strong, and you're doing an amazing job".
Because sometimes that's all a mom really NEEDS to hear.

Watch this video below, for a new perspective on motherhood.

It will take you to a heart warming video described as such:

"There's a lot of pressure being a parent. We want to raise our children the right way, but there is no
definitive handbook for every difficult situation and we're bound to make mistakes along the way. For most of us, we're our own biggest critic. But what do the people who matter most think? How do our children see us? For Mother's Day this year, we did an experiment asking moms to describe themselves, and then compared that what their own kids said about them. It's amazing what you can see when you look from different perspective."

Shopping Bag to Box Cover

I needed storage for a few of my small crafts. I wanted to use this box, but since it's pretty ugly, I decided to redo it and make it beautiful.

I had this Victoria Secret Pink bag laying around because I wanted to use the pattern for scrap paper a page in my future smash book. But there's so much of it, I thought it would look better on my box.

I just cut and glued the bag to each side of the box and cut off the excess.

I tried to match the circles, but some of them were just off.

So I cut circles from unused areas to fix the off set circles.

This sign was at the bottom of the bag. I added it to the bottom of the box for a very "Pink" feel and I thought it could help make it look like it was from Victorias Secret.

I made sure to display the Pink logo on the top of the box.

And a big Pink sign on the back of the box.

On the inside lid, I made a collage made out of Victorias Secret catalog images.
