This is my first Halloween with my son where he can actually participate and somewhat understand what's going on around him. So I thought themed dressing up would be so much fun, especially since when he's older, I am sure he'll protest it.
These are some of the costume ideas I had. They all include a child or children, but if you don't have a child you can use the costume idea for a friend and complete these things with friends. Also majority of the children are male, but majority are also animal costumes so they are unisex- But for the costumes that are not, you can change them for more feminine characters (or add a bow, whatever works for you).
